White and Brown Honey

Honey differs in colour and viscosity and depends on many factors, such as types of flowers, weather conditions under which honey was harvested. White honey is usually known as "cold honey" and it is usually found on the outer limits of the bees' nest. This honey is usually sweeter than brown honey. Bees use white honey to feed mature bees.

This type of honey is widely used as a food and energy source as well as the source of natural vitamins. This honey can be also used as a sleeping and relaxation product. 1-2 tablespoon(s) on empty stomach followed with  200 ml. warm water should give a consumer the necessary energy to function for 2 hours. 1-2 tablespoon(s) followed with 200 ml. of milk will help a consumer to calm down and sleep well. The best way to consume honey is right from the honey frame itself since it is left untouched and it is taken right from the hive itself. Purchasing a honey frame with a stand makes honey consumption easy by all family members while honey is in its natural state.

Why Brown Honey?

Brown or "warm honey" is usually found inside the nest as dark color honey usually keeps bees warm as dark colours accumulate warmth. Bees usually use brown honey to feed newborn bees. Brown honey contains parts of propolis, wax, pollen and other apiary products. While white honey is used as a natural sweetener and enjoyment, brown honey is used for health and medicinal purpose as a natural antibiotic.  This is the reason why brown honey is more valuable and more expensive.  Brown honey is the type of honey with a high level of viscosity which is impossible to extract using a regular honey extractor. It needs to be directly scraped from the frame using special strong scraper resistant to bending. It is impossible to separate wax, propolis, pollen and other honey components using filter regular honey filter. This honey is used  mostly for medicinal and cosmetic purposes.  As pollen and propolis, as well as other honey components, are considered to contain natural antibiotics  and healers this type of  honey is used for curing colds, wounds, face  masks, etc. This type of honey can be also used as an energy source and as a relaxation food in the same way as regular  white honey. The best way to consume honey is right from the honey frame itself, since it its left untouched and it is taken right from the hive itself.
